Sometimes a label is required which is stronger and more durable than paper, perhaps for use outside. Alternatively a clear label might be needed which isn't possible using paper but can be produced on clear synthetic materials.
We produce synthetic labels using a range of plastic substrates
dependent on the application. Vinyl, polyester and polypropylene
create strong plastic labels whereas polyethylene
gives a 'stretchable' plastic label suitable for use on squeezy
type containers.
These labels can be plain or printed and are produced in various formats such as rolls for thermal transfer printing and sheets for laser printing. When produced in a roll format and printed we usually overlaminate with a clear film for added strength and print protection.
The cost of synthetic labels is not that much greater than paper but often gives a better finish as well as being longer-lasting. We can also digitally print up to full colour on synthetics and finish with either a varnish or overlamination. This is a very cost effective method for small to medium runs of synthetic labels.
Domed Labels
Qdex are able to supply domed labels. These are a vinyl label printed up to full colour, which then has a resin applied over the top to give a 'dome' shape to the label.
Clear Labels
We can manufacture clear labels on various plastic materials. These can be either plain or printed and supplied on rolls or sheets.
We offer a range of clear polyester labels on A4 sheets. These are suitable for laster printing (but not inkjet) and are delivered within two or three working days. The links below show the sizes available.
We also offer a range of clear circular labels in various sizes. These are very popular for sealing boxes. They are available with either a 'permanent' or 'removable' adhesive and, in the case of the 19mm and 25mm diameters, can be supplied with a central perforation for easy breaking of the label.
