Printed labels on rolls, sheets, fanfolds or ‘single cut’ are our biggest market. These range from a basic one colour label, to high quality full colour labels printed on paper or synthetic materials, perhaps barcoded or sequentially numbered, and then overlaminated with a clear film. Specialist adhesives such as ‘removable’ or ‘deep freeze’ may also have been specified.
Unlike some label companies, we offer several different manufacturing processes (digital, flexographic, hotfoil, screen). This means the most appropriate and cost effective process really can be offered to our customers. Our sales team are always looking to keep your label costs to a minimum.
For smaller runs of printed labels or where multiple artworks are required, digital printing has become extremely popular and is usually the most suitable method. This is done on either HP or Xeikon digital label presses. The quality of these labels is excellent and there are no plate or origination charges. We offer a wide range of papers and synthetic materials and can achieve metallic foil looks if required. Variable data such as sequential numbers and barcodes can also be added.
For longer runs of printed labels we use conventional flexographic printing and can supply your labels printed up to eight colours. Although there are initial plate costs, the unit cost of the labels is generally far lower (compared to digital). This is often the best process where a simple one colour print or colourwash is needed, even for shorter runs.
Sometimes a much thicker and more durable label is required, perhaps as a warning label or for use as a car bumper sticker. For this type of product we will generally screen print on a thicker vinyl or polycarbonate material.
Hotfoil printing gives a nice looking label where the print is produced using foils. This can give a metallic foiled look to a label and is quite low cost where small label quantities are required.
